Joy of joys its Monday again. Luckily its bank holiday not that it makes much difference to us. Oscar is having a nap after a walk and some ice cream, the washing machine is on its second load of the day trying to get through the backlog of dirty washing, the washing up is soaking in the sink and I’m watching last nights Biffy Clyro set from Reading festival.
This week’s meal plan is a bit of a mish mash, thats what happens when I go to Morrisons with no clue what to cook and just wander about asking Oscar what he’d like for dinner during the week. I don’t think I’d like a week of “maybe…..pie”. On the menu this week we have:
★ creamy chicken gratin
I got this out of the microwave cookbook. Its cooked chicken pieces, ham and leek in a cheesy white sauce with garlic bread slices on top.
★ bolognaise pasta bake
Oscar’s funny with mince and wont really eat anything with it in which isn’t helpful. Luckily he will eat this, which is as the name suggests, bolognaise sauce mixed with pasta and then baked.
★ chicken curry
No idea what type of curry yet but will be with rice and I might even make some homemade peshwari naan breads.
★ beef stroganoff
I’ve not had this for ages and really fancied it. Need to find a recipe for it though and I doubt Oscar will eat it. Luckily I bought some haddock goujons for him.
